Conditions of Bursary

The contract will be for the remainder of the study, renewable annually based on academic progress. Successful candidates will have to enter into contractual obligation with the department.

How to Apply

Requirements: Applications forms must be sent to below email addresses or hand delivered by not later than the closing date. Bursaries are open only for full-time studies with any accredited institution in South Africa.

Apply as follows: Applicants must complete the Bursary Application Form, attach certified copies of certificates, academic transcripts, ID document, proof of registration, proof of guardian’s income and motivational letter.

Duration: The remainder of the study period, renewable annually based on academic progress. Successful candidates will sign a bursary contract.

Application forms are available on Tourism Departmental website (www.tourism.gov.za) or at reception of the Department of Tourism.

Applications must be addressed to the Director-General, Tourism House, 17 Trevenna Street, Sunnyside, 0002 or posted to Private Bag X 424, Pretoria, 0001. Correspondence will be limited to successful applicants only.
