SASSA uses the contact details of beneficiaries of the R350 grant to notify clients when their money is available. However, if SASSA does not have this information, clients may not know when they can collect their money.

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has been dealing with the reconsideration of the covid-19 SRD Grant applications for a while which caused a lot of dissatisfaction to the public at large. After months of dealing with appeals, verification and reconsideration processes about seven hundred and fifty thousand (750 000) have been paid and we expect payments to increase to over a million by the end of the week.
These payments made in the week are specifically for the reconsideration appeals for the period of August 2021 to November 2021. We appeal to clients to please provide SASSA with their bank account details to enable us to pay them into their own accounts. Notifications to update details have also been sent to clients whose reconsideration appeal has been approved, but their bank account details were outstanding.

  3. Click on the yellow bar which says “click here to change your cell phone number and/or email address”
  4. Enter your ID number and Application ID
  5. Click “Submit”
  6. Enter your Email Address if you have one
  7. Enter your cell phone number
  8. Click “Submit”
  9. Choose a reason for changing your cell phone number
  10. Enter the One Time Pin (OTP) you receive via SMS
  11. Click “Submit”

  3. Click on the yellow bar which says “click here to check online”
  4. Enter your ID number
  5. Enter your old cell phone number
  6. Your Application ID will then appear in the first line

The COVID19 SRD grant reconsideration payments are now underway! As June month is approved with pay dates to others, other months will start approving this week and its payments start next week. Those who are approved for June without dates, dates will start appearing today later.
