Momentum Health Learnership 2026: Occupational Certificate in Health Care Benefits Advising

Momentum Health is offering an exciting learnership opportunity for unemployed youth living in the Western Cape. This programme provides practical workplace experience and formal training, allowing learners to gain valuable skills in the medical aid and healthcare administration industry.

Successful candidates will work towards obtaining an Occupational Certificate: Health Care Benefits Advisor (NQF Level 5), accredited under SAQA ID 105030.

About the Momentum Health Learnership

This 12-month work-based learning programme combines theoretical training with practical workplace exposure at Momentum Health’s Parc Du Cap office in Bellville.

The learnership is aimed at young South Africans who are passionate about customer service and want to build a career in the healthcare and insurance sector.

While completion of the programme does not guarantee permanent employment, learners will gain industry-relevant experience that can improve future job opportunities in the medical aid administration and insurance industries.

Who Can Apply?

To qualify for the Momentum Health Learnership Programme, applicants must:

– Be a South African citizen between the ages of 18 and 30
– Be unemployed
– Live within 30km of the Parc Du Cap office in Bellville, Western Cape
– Be available to commit to the full 12-month programme
– Not be studying full-time or part-time during the learnership
– Not have completed the same learnership before

Minimum Educational Requirements

Applicants must have:

– Grade 12 (Matric)
– Mathematics with at least 40% OR Mathematical Literacy with at least 60%
– English and another South African language passed with a minimum of 50%
– Basic computer literacy (advantageous)

People living with disabilities are encouraged to apply and must submit a doctor’s letter confirming their disability.

Required Documents

Applicants must upload:

– Certified copy of South African ID
– Certified copy of Matric certificate (statements of results will not be accepted)

Please note that certified copies must not be older than three months.

Key Responsibilities During the Learnership

Learners will:

– Participate in classroom and workplace training
– Build knowledge of Momentum Health products, systems, and procedures
– Complete logbooks and portfolios of evidence for SETA submission
– Successfully complete assessments
– Provide support to clients and stakeholders
– Assist with resolving customer queries and improving service delivery
– Contribute to teamwork, innovation, and operational efficiency
