Overview:

Omnia’s Agriculture division, a leading market player in southern Africa, includes Omnia Fertilizer and Omnia Specialities. The division manufactures granular, liquid, and specialty fertilizers for a diverse customer base spanning southern and East Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil. Expanding its global influence, the division is also making strides in Europe, South America, and Asia. The Omnia Agriculture division’s Nutriology® offering provides specialized products and services, aiding customers in optimizing crop yield and quality.

Qualifications:

Grade 12 with Mathematics & Science (Maths Literacy NOT accepted)

Technical trade-related subjects (Advantageous)

N3 Certificate, including four relevant subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Trade Theory, and a fourth subject as required by the trade

Technical trade theory program quality assured by a SETA deemed equivalent to NQF level 3

Relevant Engineering NCV Certificate with seven subjects at NQF level

Experience:

No previous experience required

Duties:

Attend theoretical classes at an accredited provider

Obtain relevant plant training on-site

Complete the curriculum for the designated trade as prescribed by CHIETA

Job Competencies:

Age: 18 years and over

Suitable for a person without dependents

Excellent communication skills

Ability to adhere to academic guidelines

Willing to conform to rigid standards of performance

High energy levels

Self-motivated

Produce work of high quality

High concentration levels and attention to detail

Work accurately and carefully

Willing to keep up-to-date with advances in techniques and equipment
