Coca-Cola Visual Merchandiser Learnership Programme Now Open For Applications

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is offering an exciting Visual Merchandiser Learnership Programme for unemployed young South Africans. This 12-month learnership provides structured workplace training and practical experience in the sales and marketing environment.

The programme is available nationwide and aims to equip participants with the commercial knowledge and practical skills needed to support customer service, increase product sales and implement merchandising standards in retail outlets.

Successful learners will report to an Account Developer and work closely with the sales team while gaining hands-on industry experience.

What The Learnership Will Cover

The Visual Merchandiser Learnership focuses on developing skills that help improve product visibility, sales performance and customer engagement in retail environments.

Learners will gain practical exposure to customer service, merchandising standards and sales support within their assigned geographical areas.

Key Responsibilities

Participants in the Coca-Cola Learnership Programme will perform several important tasks, including:

Executing daily call schedules at assigned bronze and tin retail outlets according to planned objectives.

Implementing visual merchandising standards, maintaining product displays and ensuring proper stock rotation in stores.

Ensuring product availability, visibility and quality according to RED and execution scorecard standards, including completion of the iRED survey.

Supporting customers by guiding them on how to place orders using the MyCCBA platform.

Assisting with promotional activities aimed at increasing brand visibility and driving product sales.

Providing relief support where required, under the direction of the line manager.

Workplace Interaction

Learners will collaborate with different stakeholders during the programme. These include:

Sales Team Members – working together on daily tasks and sharing industry knowledge.

Sales Account Developers – receiving guidance, training and performance feedback while gaining a deeper understanding of the sales process.

Consumers – interacting with customers to understand purchasing behaviour and preferences.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements to qualify for the Coca-Cola Visual Merchandiser Learnership:

Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy (minimum 40% pass).

Grade 12 with English and a second language (minimum 40% pass).

Must be a South African citizen.

Must be between the ages of 18 and 35.

Must be currently unemployed.

Must not be enrolled in another learnership or full-time study programme.

Must not have previously completed the same qualification or learnership.

Must have no criminal record or negative credit record.

Must be willing to work six days per week.

Applicants must consent to criminal, ID and qualification verification checks.

A valid driver’s licence would be advantageous as travel between stores may be required.

A post-matric qualification in Sales and Marketing will be beneficial.

This opportunity is open to Employment Equity candidates.

Duration Of The Learnership

The programme runs for 12 months. During this period, learners will work towards obtaining a qualification that requires a minimum of 120 credits.
